Online workshop for Caribbean countries on the use of geodata

In early 2017, BSF Swissphoto was awarded a consulting mandate for the Mona Office for Research and Innovation/ The University of the West Indies (UWI) under the Investment Plan for the Caribbean Regional Track of the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR): https://de.bsf-swissphoto.com/referenzen?id=432

Today, a two-week online training starts with our geospatial data experts Stephan Landtwing and Manuel Draper with participants of the six Caribbean PPCR countries: Jamaica, Haiti, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada. The workshop will introduce the participants to the usage of LIDAR and related data products and provide them with a "course book" as reference material. The aim is to enable participants to drive the introduction, management and analysis of LiDAR and airborne imagery data in their countries and thus provide valuable input into decision making processes and studies for climate change resilience and natural hazard mitigation.

We wish you much success and an exciting workshop!
