10 years of laser scanning for MML: 200,000 km2 in 10 years!!!
Laser data for the Finnish land surveying office
BSF Swissphoto has been very successful in acquiring Finnish projects over the last 10 years. In 2014 and 2015, BSF Swissphoto, together with a partner, was able to carry out large-scale laser data acquisition over approximately 45,720 km2 for the Finnish land surveying office Maanmittauslaitos. BSF Swissphoto was again commissioned with LiDAR flights in 2018 and will scan almost 41,000 km2 at 1 point/m2 in 12 sub-areas in southern to central Finland by the end of 2019. This requires a total of around 250 flight hours.
Since 2019, BSF Swissphoto has been commissioned to collect laser scan data for MML with a point density of 5 points per m2 for a total area of 109,886 km2.
