160 LiDAR flying hours for the Finnish Land Survey Office

On July 20, 2020 our flight crew completed the last flight day of the current laser data acquisition program 2020 of the Finnish National Survey Authority Maanmittauslaitos. For the fourth time BSF Swissphoto was assigned to capture laser data for the National Survey Authority in regions distributed all over Finland.

The point density of the LIDAR data was 5 points/m2 and about 19'600 km2 were scanned this year. Our pilots were in air for a total of 160 h in about 44 mission days. This performance is remarkable considering the fact that the last months were affected by Corona-related flight and travel restrictions. Thanks to our great flight crew!
