GPS-Monitoring Zurich
The city of Zürich’s surveying experts contracted BSF Swissphoto to install and operate two autonomous, solar-powered GNSS measurement stations in order to monitor displacement vectors and speeds of a large instable/sliding slope at Leimbach.
These permanent satellite-based measurements – along with periodic total-station surveys – form the basis for an in-depth analysis of the extent and movement speeds of the sliding zone. The city’s surveying and mapping department will survey 14 additional points in a semi-annual rhythm, using the two GNSS monuments as reference points
